				watch out fellow members

i think there is a new nasty worm floating around in the www. i caught it today and basically it just keeps restarting my computer which is very annoying. hopefully the updates i just did put a stomp to it.

however, i would encourage everyone to do microsoft system updates just in case. perhaps a fellow member who knows much more then i do can help with the cause? the worm i got was named lsass.exe i believe. hopefully its gone now. i did find a site which can help prevent or solve the problems here.
http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_125007.htm
i hope this link helps you out! i don't wish this to happen to anyone else, so protect while you still can! |

	| That's the 'Sasser' worm. Go here and scroll down to the 'Check my PC' for infection button if you think you have it.

To download the patch to protect your PC from infection go here.
This worm does not infect Mac's or machines running Win98, Win95, or WinME.

	| Yeah, I love em. I'd love to see em staked spread eagle, naked, over a fire ant hill, with honey smeared over them, in the middle of day, and left there for 3 days. |

	| As always just keep your antivirus software up to date and make sure you install all the security fixes from Microsoft.

yeah Sasser was done by the "SkyNet Team" who are also responsible for the approx 30 and countying NetSky viruses and variants.

A great place to stay on top of this stuff is http://www.f-secure.com/weblog/
Also, if there are any other Mac users besides me out there, Apple had a large-ish security update today for 10.2.8 and 10.3.3. |
