Aqua,

There is much power and money in getting the American People to see you as a victim.

Even if you individually are not a victim, if you can assert membership in a class or group of people who can be identified as victims, then you are entitled to a piece of whatever compensation is "justly" due to the group to make them whole again.

I am, alas, not inventing this. It is contemporary legal theory.

Page 11 of the May 26, 2003 edition of US News and World Report states:

Quote:
White Noise
Big-screen albinos are children of the damned, and the latest affront is the evil, razor-wielding Twins in The Matrix Reloaded. Some with albinism have protested; Warner Bros. says teh Twins are pale because they're ghosts, and besides, their eyebrows and lips are dark.

<---------------CasperTG.

I agree, dadaist. After seeing the movie, I don't know what any albino group is talking about; the twins aren't albinos and don't like like albinos either.

The twins (Adrian and Neil Rayment) are profiled and interviewed in Rolling Stone #924 (June 12, 2003 cover date). See pages 33-34.

They don't have anything to say about this 'controversy' but I like this quote:

Quote:
Neil says, "We're the new goths. All the goths are going to be depressed when they see us -"
"And they realize they need a new wardrobe," Adrian says.
