Sam Zell, the new owner of the company which owns IowaMan’s beloved Chicago Cubs, has announced that the team will be sold.

Let’s hope that the new owner will get to watch them play in this year’s World Series!

For IowaMan's sake I hope it's true, but let's face it what fun would Cub's fans be then?

They'd be Tampa Bay Devil Rays fans, without the charm! Boston's curse was broken a couple of years ago, as well as the White Sox one, but come on, the CUBS curse broken as well, in the past few years? That's asking for WAAAAYYY too much.

As long as they stay in Chicago it'll be okay.

They'll be in the Series this year and all will be fine. Maybe Mark Cuban will decide to open up the wallet and purchase the team. As long as they don't move out of Wrigley all will be great for the string of championships they are going to begin this season.

very true...but the Cubs are considered one of those "high end" teams with a lot of value...

besides, after just spending $300 mil on contracts for the next few seasons and still having to sign Big Z....you'll need to be independently wealthy to buy them!
