A man of great sincerity.

I tend to not "celebrate" great leaders' birthdays, but do "recognize" them. I supose the difference is that, all I really do is tend to think at some point during that day, what that person did that actually made their birthday worthy of recognition.

In his case, more than he was obligated to, and not nearly enough: through no fault of his own.
