IMHO this is quite possibly the coolest use of the internet and 3D graphics I have ever seen!

Besides the WOW THAT IS COOL factor I really can't see what it may be good for, but I am sure it will pan out.

If you think Google Earth is cool, check out NASA WorldWind! My boyfriend is getting his master's degree in this stuff, and all the professors in his department practically salivate over this program!

It is cool. Thanks. Also, for a little better resolution ... http://terraserver.microsoft.com/ also offers free views from space with nothing to download. With it, I could actually see my house. Hmmmm ... OMG, there I am at the window waving. Well, okay, I'm kidding on that last part. :)

Disadvantage ... not all photos are absolutely current. Some from the late 90's and such.
