Hooray for Cobalt!!!!

Being a manly man, Cobalt decided to take this situation into his own hands, hoping that he could "out-bitch" me..

Well..... he did! (Imagine that?!?) He went to the post office today with found slip in hand (found it in the student assessment folder :D) and talked to the Postmaster (who happens to be female ;) ) Well, there happened to be a package in the back on the shelf that they didn't know what to do with (duh)! the delivery address wasn't for here, and the return address wasn't from around here and of course, the tag for the postage wasn't on the box! (it must have fallen off.. sure) They had located it late last week and it was on the list to be sent to Waterloo to the "lost" area!!!! Of course, they didn't remember me with my lost box :(

In a nutshell.. he said they were full of excuses as to why it wasn't sent back to the return address (no postage), etc....

So, the proper postage has been affixed (postmaster did it right in front of him ) and Pixies Package #1 is off again!!!!

:jump: :line: :jump:

Booger 09-09-2005 09:34 PM

can you send Cobalt here we have a guy in the post office who is a pain in the ass too.

Cheyanne 09-09-2005 09:38 PM

LOL.. I don't know if it is a case of being a pain in the ass or just plain incompetent.. I am glad that he decided to check on it after picking up a prescription.. :D

Booger 09-09-2005 09:41 PM

why dose Cobalt do his best work on drugs?

LixyChick 09-17-2005 01:40 PM

JHCOAB! PF called me today and told me that the two packages were missing about the same time. I was floored!

I didn't put a "tracking" code on it when it left me and I have to admit I thought for a fleeting moment that I am sending it away with nothing but blind faith in the postal system to get it to it's destination...but it should be ok cause "Package #1" has made it clear to the other side of the planet and back!

Damn...am I naive or what?

*bows head in shame*

Yooooooooo Hooooooooooo for Cobalt! Remind me to smooch his tush later! *looking for the tush-smooching smilie*

Just posted in the other thread and wondered could Lazarus (or the recipient after him) go do some snooping too??

Fangtasia 09-19-2005 04:42 PM

That is definately not the same box i seen *LOL*

Steph 09-19-2005 05:35 PM

Why do I think that customs officials may have experimented with some things in the box? WI, do you have any relatives working at the border?

Fangtasia 09-19-2005 06:11 PM

Bet i know one thing at least in there they wont have experimented with *LMAO*

Oh brother...

jseal, please don't confuse us more than we already are!

This is a thread devoted to package number 1

lazaruslong package is still lost in action. His is from package number 2 thread.

jseal 09-22-2005 08:13 AM

BIBI,

Lazarus was, as recounted in the New Testament, raised from the dead. The term "Lazarus" is, on occasion, place before something that was presumed gone forever, but has returned, and received with gratitude.

For example, in the game of foosball (often played in bars here in the States) the term "Lazarus ball" is applied to refer to an occasion when a ball is knocked into the goal, but pops back into play, rather than falling into the well underneath the playing surface.

Analogously, Cobalt's rescue of Pixies' Package #1, from the maw of the USPS brought it "back to life", and the return was welcomed by some of us.

Terribly sorry for confusing you, I had though the idiom was wider spread than it seems to be.

Fangtasia 09-22-2005 08:14 AM

*LOL*...thanx for the explanation BIBI....i was lost

Horseballs! You didn't just confuse me jseal.....seems you always have an answer, no matter how unbelievable it may be. And most times condesending too I might add. If you had kept up on the overnight logs you would have noticed that I had already received the box a few days ago.

Why did Lazaruslong deserve the "great hit" then? What did he do?

jseal 09-22-2005 08:58 AM

BIBI,

There’s no need for harsh words. I prefer to not offer an explanation if I feel I have none. As for unbelievable, well, I cannot help you with that. Your experiences are different than mine. Yes mam, I am quite aware that you had received the package. I have indeed been following the thread of the package I sent along.

In re the good hit, as Lazaruslong probably is aware of the origins of his nic, I thought that it was a play on words. As such, I found it amusing.

I am surprised that you take exception to my explanation. You referred to “…don't confuse us more than we already are …”, and I took your statement at face value. At the time, it seemed like a reasonable thing to do.

BIBI 09-22-2005 11:34 AM

The package is on its way. I just mailed it and so you can expect it by Christmas lol.

PantyFanatic 09-22-2005 12:46 PM

That’s great Bibi. :jump:

I have two questions about it now.

1. You sent it ‘down’ the list and not back ‘up’ the list, right? :rolleyes2

2. There’s nothing ticking in the package now, right? :rolleyes2

Winston77 09-22-2005 01:17 PM

Is it Christmas yet
