Yes...Chey and Cobalt sent it out but it has not reached it's destination. I'm less and less hopeful that it will make it.

OK.. at last visit (today after work) w/ receipt and tracking number in hand. I went to the wonderful (bitch) postmaster and requested (demanded) that SHE personally track this package down as it is a round robin type package that has spanned the globe and that it would not do well for the "good" (uh-huh) postmaster of said small town to have SCREWED UP ROYALLY!!!!!!!!!!!

She (again) requested the address that it was mailed to.. and then once she saw where it was going - blamed it on where it was headed (trying to not give destination away). I responded *bullshit* and told her that she would FIND the package and deal with it. She understands that I was angry, but said that there wasn't much she could do on her end and that I was to contact the receiving post office. Since she didn't have a contact number for post office on her, I was to call her tomorrow to get it. She also said that if the address was undeliverable or something happened to it (meaning that what I wrote on the package wasn't able to be read (I typed it) , I would receive it back. Platitudes I guess.

<sigh> In any case, I am going to get the contact information from her tomorrow and in the meantime have contacted the main office that oversees our small town post office and complained. Not sure how good it will do, but did it anyway.

I am not sure what to do after that... any suggestions? I feel really bad about this. :(

Sorry to learn of your problems. Not much you can do after the USPS has it! Keep your fingers crossed – hopefully it will resurface.

I just ran and checked and it did not make it back here. Chey is my PO Box still listed as the return address on the box?

Yes.. your PO Box was still the return address. Getting the tracking is second nature to me.. I always get that for this very reason and never had to use it before now..

No, I was still hoping. But I will. I am just in shock that BOTH boxes are missing. I just thought if other crappy sites do it, surely we, could manage. I don't know how I could have handled it better. Chey having got tracking at least will help us to find out(smart smart woman). As for the other package(#2), it should have arrived within two days of lazarus mailing it to it's intended victim...er I mean recipient. I have spoken to that recipient and he never received it.

The container yard is complaining that my shipment is blocking the loading of the trains, and bugging me with OUTRAGIOUS daily storage invoices. :rolleyes2

This more than just sucks! I have never had this happen - even in the thros of heavy Christmas package shipping. Things have taken a little longer, but they have NEVER been lost! To add insult to injury I can't find the DAMN TRACKING SLIP! I paid extra for that, and the pkg. cost $13.20 to mail ---- I know I had the correct address (I double checked to make sure) because I typed it and saved it on my computer/Palm so I can send cards to this person later and I saved the PM.

So...if anyone is listing to the CD I put in there - well, hopefully it isn't a Menonite.. :(

I feel horrible because I set this all up but didn't consider the one thing out of my control, the postal peeps!

I never trust those tracking slips ... that's why I tied a long string on package one when I first sent it to Alasse down under.
