Thanks everyone it is fun taking pics with my pink camera :D
Here are a few pics of the wisteria that is growing wild all over our section of the world. The stuff truly grows like a weed and smells amazing when it first blooms. These pictures come from outside our apartment building, and the ones on the pergola are from the botanical gardens where it covers the entire top in the most amazing display. |
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, the flowers outside here are pretty much limited to crocuses and daffodils so far... But I have pretty ones growing inside!
This is the first time this plant has four blooms at once for me. The two top ones are yesterday's blooms, and they're fading fast, but the bottom ones are today's. The flowers only really last a day. But for that one day, they are GORGEOUS! |
I'm not used to seeing Hibiscus as a bonsai.
Lovely flowers. |

More great pictures, Tess.
Attached is one of a hawk soaring over my wife and I when we went for a drive last week. Normally, when I try to get a picture of a bird in flight, it blurs terribly. This time, it actually didn't come out too bad ... |

Here's a view from one of the places I like to go walking. That's the Mackinaw River just southeast of where I live. It's actually down about two or three feet from where it was earlier this spring. The bluff I'm on is about 40' higher than the river, so it's a pretty good drop down.

Lovely and green.

Looks like good fishing.

Here's another little bird I got to meet on today's walk ...
|
That looks like what we call a sparrow.

Here's our lovely visitor laying on the eggs she laid yesterday.
The first two show how effective her coloring is in helping her to hide. The third picture outlines her in red so she's easier to see. |
Exciting!!! Do you know how many eggs she has?
|
No we don't. We heard her when she was laying but didn't try to see until afterwards and she was sitting on the eggs then. I'm anxious for when they hatch to see how many. The mama duck seems so serene on her nest.
|
That's not serenity, that's relief of knowing she doesn't have to crap out another egg.
