ATTENTION PIXIES EVERYWHERE! THE PACKAGE HAS ARRIVED At the present time, pictures are being taken and more than 80 treasures are being inventoried. Would have been a bit more, but I ate some. Boy, I sure do love pure maple sugar candy. :) Some of what's been collected is amazing. If I read everything before I post it, I won't be back until 2010 or so (don't worry, I won't). Still haven't looked at the CD's but will ... and at least tell you what they generally had on them. :) Need to talk to Lilith. Not sure if she wants the "Journal" published, or just my inventory list. Couple of other minor questions, too. But, at least it's here. When I finish, I'll mail it back to Lilith with some extra big hugs from all of us to her ... and anxiously await Package Number 2. :) This was fun. Like Lil, said, I love all you guys! You're funny and fantastic! |
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

AFTER…… the treasures of the box have been disclosed, I hope some of the beneficiary of personal gifts that were forwarded will share (that can ;) ) with us. :D
I'll show you now a gift I had all ready to add that never made it into the box. At the last minute I found out the person wasn’t on the list. So sad.:( |
^^^^^^^hehehe......no wonder she's AWOL!!!
|
I like to think the flying monkeys revolted and took her computer away from her, but echos from the forbidden north forest say it's just a very sick puter. :(
|
Um, you mean there's maple sugar candy left? :D
|
If I weren't diabetic there wouldn't be :D
|
(Pssst. Did you have ONE, though? I mean, even *I* had to try one before it left.) :D
|
Just one I swear :D
|
And Lil's glucometer blew up afterwards. :D

HERE IT IS...
-----WHAT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR! FIRST ... the box does stop here and won't be heading back to Lilith. Hee hee. Maple sugar candy. Maine Salt Water Taffy. I think I'm in heaven. :) SECOND ... Lil asked that none of the "personal photos" be published. Saves having to someday make a judgement call if we just don't publish personal photos showing anyone. Actually, one of four CDs had pictures on it too, but I think everything is covered. The other three CDs had either music or nature sounds on them. OMG, ROFL! That was great, DB!
I wish I'd have gotten to see some of the latter additions, but just being a part of this awesome, awesome event was reward enough. (BTW, you can keep the hamster food. The "wayward rodent" died the weekend after I mailed the package.) :D |
And just to clarify, since osuche is soiling my good name--the box size did NOT have to double once I put my items in.
It tripled. :D |

dicksbro, Thank you for the presentation! Nicely - and wisely - done. Thanks again, |
*LOL* way cool DB....what a list!!! :D
|
I think I may have added something leather too....it was peeking out in one of the pics :D
|
OMG ... YES!!! A leather whip. How did I miss that.
Oh, yeah, my wife borrowed it ... Ouch, ow, ooo, ow! :D I think there were also a couple of recipes which I'll publish. Just read back through the list and remembered them. Oh well, I'm slow but do bad work to compensate. :) |

That's okay. After Ralph (aka "Houdini") went to the big hamster wheel in the sky, we got Crystal, who turned out to be the anti-Christ hamster. When we took her back to the pet store (yep, she was THAT BAD), we ended up with Lucy, a big poofball of a teddy bear hamster who also, unfortunately, likes to escape but *fortunately* is not very good at hiding. :D |
Indonesian Corn Cakes
Here's the first of the recipes ... courtesy of osuche
----- One can drained corn - crushed (use can or mortar & pestle) 1/2 tsp garlic powder - more if you're brave 1/2 tsp pepper - more if you're brave 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp sugar 1 whole egg 1 tbsp chili pepper - fresh if possible / 2 whole chilis 2 scallions or 1/4 onion 1 whole egg (it was repeated on the recipe ... don't know if that was a goof or not.) 1 tbsp flour Mix all ingredients together (add flour & onions last). The batter will not be thick, but you can add more flour to thicken if you like. Drop teaspoons of batter into fry pan coated with oil. Wait about 2-3 minutes (burner on high). Turn. Remove from pan when golden brown. Serve. Thank you, osuche. Sounds great. Will have to get my wife to try making it. |
Peanut Sauce
Another gift from osuche.
----- 2-3 red tomatoes skinned (can sub can for whole tomatoes) 2 red bell peppers - sliced without seeds 1-2 red habenero peppers - chopped without seeds 2-3 garlic cloves 1 tsp salt 1 tsp sugar 1/2 jar peanut butter (creamy) 1/4 warm water 2 tbsp sweet soy sauce 1 lemon Blend tomatoes, red ball pepper, habeneros and garlic clove in food processor or blender until liquid. Pour liquid into a sauce pan and add salt & sugar. Heat sauce on medium (careful not to burn tomatoes). Add peanut butter and stir until mixture thickens. When ready to serve, add water, 2 tbsp sweet soy, and the juice of a lemon. Stir. Best when served with chicken or tofu and rice. This is a tasty sauce for any meal. More good sounding food. |
A literary group of eaters we are for sure. :D LMAO
|
OMG ... I first read, "A litany of good eaters we are for sure."
Come to think of it ... that works, too. :D |
Picky ones at that
|
You bet. If it doesn't fit or can't be cut to size ... I'll only try a few times to get it eaten. :)
|
That is soooo cool!
|
Wow...!!! I am so impressed with DB's inventory -- and impressed that a couple of people actually managed to avoid eating their See's candy bars. :D
The recipes came from my first trip overseas...have alot of history for me. And if you like spicy food, you'll love them. I included mostly stuff from San Francisco (and the odd Death Valley bit), knowing the PF would cover Ohio. :) Man...this was cool. I love you guys! |
LOL! Awesome! This was a great idea and lots of fun to have participated in! :D
|
I'm looking forward to Box # 3 ...
|
Cool project...... altho I didn't find those panties from IWM!!!!! I think they got intercepted!!! :)
I confess to eating the maple sugar State of NH....... what a sugar rush!! hehe |
Thanks DB for putting up the inventory. That was awesome!
|
I need more buckeyes. My 2nd graders saw it sitting on my desk and now they all want one.
